Peter Lorenzo
Seattle Opera Education Director & Young Artists Program Director
"The Ring in Seattle: Why Art Matters"
As Seattle Opera’s education director, Lorenzo produces up to 250 education events each season. He has become one of the most popular and sought-after speakers on opera in the country and lectures frequently in New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, as well as at the Richard Wagner Festival in Bayreuth, Germany. His lecture series "Exploring the Ring with Perry Lorenzo" has been issued as a four-CD set.
Lorenzo wrote and hosted the television program “Inside Tristan” and taught opera history for the Washington Commission for the Humanities. He has directed the Young Artists Program since its inception in 1998, and has served as Education Director since 1992.
Too few are the exemptions from pesky Sergeant Fines. Alas, here is one any Bellevue Rotarian can take advantage of, but it requires some sleuthing: find out a fact about our Administrative Assistant, Lisa Forbes, share it with Sergeant At Arms Dale King, as well as bulletin@bellevuerotary.net, and be fine-free for the day the fact appears in the bulletin!
Don’t bother asking Lisa her favorite ice cream flavor — got it covered! Watch the bulletin!

Camp Goodtimes Offers Two Sessions — Need Volunteers!
SAVE THE DATE! |
Camp Goodtimes is now offering 2 sessions: June 28-July 4 and July 26-August 1. We expect over 200 children with cancer to come to camp this year. For this to happen, we need 140 volunteers and have been working very hard to find applicants. If you have kids over 18, friends, or employees who might be available either week, ask them to go to www.campgoodtimeswest.org to apply on line.
In addition to cabin counselors, we need program staff and support staff. The camp is on nearby Vashon Island, the cabins are modern, the beach is wonderful, and everyone who comes has a great week. Contact Charlotte Ellis for more information.
