THIS WEEK's PROGRAM

Paul Heppner
President/Publisher of Encore Media Group
Founder of City Arts Magazine
"Explore. Dream. Discover."

Paul HeppnerThe information age has given us innumerable means to get connected — from blogs to podcasts — than imaginable just a few short years ago. In today's age of new and emerging technology, City Arts Magazine-Eastside provides an increasingly needed touch point with local community in a conventional format (ink and paper) that challenges our perceptions and realities of effective media.

Paul Heppner is President/Publisher of Encore Media Group and Founder of City Arts Magazine. He’s a second generation owner of his 39 year old family business and since 1990 he has expanded the company to include over 30 magazine titles and publishing related services for the arts and tourism industries. Paul and his wife Toni live in Loyal Heights, have two college age children and share a house with their irrepressible Australian Shepard.

Encore Arts Programs, the company’s marquee venue publication, is produced for 27 performing and presenting arts organizations in the Puget Sound Region and San Francisco Bay Area. Encore Arts Programs has a combined circulation of over 3 million readers annually.

In addition to Encore Arts Programs, Encore Media Group provides custom publishing services for a wide range of clients including: Experience Washington — The Official Washington State Travel Planner, the annual Seattle International Film Festival Catalog, the Seattle Art Dealers Association monthly magazine and Exceptional Properties for Coldwell Banker Bain.

City Arts is the new monthly magazine covering the vibrant, distinct cultural lives of the Eastside, Tacoma and Seattle. Launched on the Eastside in July 2008, City Arts has already proven itself to be a must read. The City Arts motto, “Creativity Everywhere” compels our writers to look in unconventional places for stories and to approach each story with intellectual rigor, clarity and plenty of style. Additionally, City Arts features the work of masterful photographers, illustrators and graphic designers. The goal: to bring tales of imaginative, enterprising individuals to the cities we call home.
