Program Material From General Dubik
Lieutenant General James M. Dubik spoke to the Bellevue Rotary Club recently regarding American involvement in Iraq. General Dubik has made available for download the documents/presentation used in his program. Click on one or both of these links to access the PDF file and/or the PowerPoint presentation.
NOTE: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader and Micrsoft PowerPoint or a PowerPoint Viewer to open these files. If you don't have either of these, you can download them for free at Adobe and Microsoft, respectively. Proposed New Member: John Brozovich
Pursuant to our Rotary Bylaws, the following member has been proposed for membership in Bellevue Rotary, after having been approved by the Classification and Membership Committees and Board of Directors. If no objections are received by the Club Administrator within ten (10) days, induction will be arranged.
Name: John P. Brozovich
Sun Valley Trip - Frank Young Reception Attention Sun Valley attendees: Frank and Susan Young are hosting a wine and cheese reception from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2006, at the Knob Hill Inn, a landmark in Ketchum, just south of the cemetery. All BRC members and guests attending the BRC Sun Valley Ski Trip are invited. Please RSVP through me, so that we can provide Frank with a nose count before we're too close to the event.
Accommodations hosts Janine Florence, Larry Mast, and Steve Anderson, as well as perennial party provider Frank Young, are all old Sun Valley hands, and they are sure to guarantee pristine skiing. So, plan to go and arrange your transportation now. Become a part of BRC's first Sun Valley Ski event! Super Bowl Party
Glen Curda
The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards conference will be held March 2-5. This event is financed by our club for selected high school juniors. If you have a family friend attending either Bellevue, International, Robinswood, or Forest Ridge High Schools who would be a good candidate, encourage him/her to apply. Qualified children or grandchildren of Bellevue Rotarians may also apply, even if they do not attend the previously mentioned high schools.
Contact Glen Curda for details.
Are you thinking about proposing a new member? Before you do, check out the clubs current classification listing. This will tell you: 1) which members currently hold the classification (make a courtesy call prior to proposing a new member in the same classification); and 2) whether the classification is full (club by-laws state that a classification is full when 10% of the members hold the classification). If you have any questions about classifications, please contact a member of the current classification committee. A link to this report will be in both the Members Only dropdown menu at the top of each web page in the special interest items on the left side of each web page. The information is located in the Members Only area, so you will need your user information to access this file. |
