Mike also served as President of the Naval Reserve Association -13th District and was named a National Director for its Naval Reserve Fund. In 1991, he was elected President of the Reserve Officers’ Association – Department of Washington. In his professional life, Mike formed Montgomery & Associates in 1993, a consulting firm specializing in disaster response and recovery planning. Clients include corporations, universities, federal agencies, and municipalities throughout the Puget Sound region and Alaska. He has worked across the country on 24 national disasters as a reservist with FEMA. Mike’s Rotary service began in 1991 in the Rotary Club of Edmonds. Now with the Edmonds Daybreakers, Mike has served as Club International Service Chair, Chair of the Edmonds Jazz Connection, Club President, and Assistant District Governor. Mike attended the RI conventions in Barcelona and Chicago, is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, and a 2005 graduate of the Rotary Academy.
