His publications have ranged from studies of medieval monetary movements to Islamic archaeology to the use of African slave troops in medieval Muslim armies. ANNUAL Crystal Mountain Ski Trip

March 7 - 8, for BRC members only
Scott East

Arrival at Crystal Mountain between 4:00 and 6:00 PM the first Tuesday of March for drinks/mountain-gourmet dinner/card games and next day hearty breakfast followed by skiing/boarding, slope side lunch at Snorting Elk, and returning that Wednesday evening. (Our BRC member chefs are THE best!)

skiersAs usual, we will be staying at the Enumclaw Ski Lodge, just off parking lot "C," and Game Master Lisa Carroll has arranged for her friend Spoon to be our host there this year. Car pools will be arranged for those who do not wish to drive up on their own.

There is usually a charge of $50 - $60 dollars per attendee, depending on cost of food (Tuesday dinner, Wednesday breakfast) and ESC guest fees. A generous member often donates a certain number of lift vouchers, but that is a year-to-year arrangement, so everyone should be prepared to cover their own lift tickets and Wednesday lunch, in addition to offering to contribute to the drivers' gas tanks or single malt collections.

Please email me if you plan to attend either event, if you have access to accommodations and/or can host others, and if you have any questions.
