Bob & Meredith Loudon
"Old Time Radio"

x0607Loudon1Bob Loudon is a long-time Rotarian and past-president of the Eugene Rotary Club. He has enjoyed a hobby of “Old-Time Radio” for many years, and he and his wife Meredith have been taking an original program on the subject to more than 150 Rotary Clubs and other organizations throughout the Northwest and California.

The Loudons are natives of Yakima, Washington, and Bob is a graduate of the University of Washington. He spent a number of years in radio and television at Yakima and Seattle, dating back to the 1940s.

Meredith has been his wife, best friend and mom to their four children, while assisting him with his hobbies for 50 years.

Sit back and relax as Bob and Meredith share a bit of history and fun from the 1930s, 40s and 50s ... with their “OLD-TIME RADIO REVISITED”!

Committee Assignment Preference Form
President-Elect Ross Jacobson

If you have not yet filled out the Committee Preference Form and delivered it to Laurie Larson or Ross Jacobson, please click here to open and then print the form (PDF file). Next, please fill it out and fax it directly to Ross Jacobson (note on cover sheet that it is to his attention) at 206-628-6611. You can also scan the completed form and email it to Ross at rjacobson@wkg.com.

Please review the list of committees and choose the three committees that are of the most interest to you. Your active support of Bellevue Rotary’s committee system is critical to the success of the club. More importantly, we know from our collective experience that the more you get involved, the more you will gain from Rotary. It is also a wonderful way to get to know your fellow Rotarians.

Please complete and return this form to Ross Jacobson by Friday, June 3, 2005. If you wish to serve on more than one committee, and we hope you will, please feel free to make that notation. Please keep in mind that Bellevue Rotary Club Bylaws discourages members from serving on the same committee for more than three consecutive years. Committee descriptions will be available at the back table each Tuesday.

To assist in our tabulation of your request for assignment, please enter your selection by committee NUMBER, rather than name.

GSE To France
WarrenHall Crain, for GSE

Take a virtual trip to France with our Group Study Exchange Team (Lisa Balleaux, Kimberly Stewart, Richard MacLean, Marty Wine, Sally Gee). The team leaves on Wednesday, June 1, for one month in the Normandy region of France. They have promised to send reports, including pictures, every few days so that we can keep up with their progress. Check back regularly at www.rotary5030.org/gse, and put this address in your favorites list.

Next year we'll be sending a team to Bavaria. Look for Rotarians who might be our team leader and non-Rotarians who might be team members to Germany and Austria.

Survey Results
President Katherine Thompson

The survey is still available, both online and at our luncheon meetings. Additional responses will be tabulated and added to the results.

One response per member, please!

* * *

I received 107 responses to the survey, and we used them to frame the discussion at our Strategic Plan Retreat. The results do not reflect responses submitted after the cut-off date of May 10.

The "Score" is the average of the responses, with "Strongly Disagree" given a weight of 1 and "Strongly Agree" given a weight of 5. Those responses that had an average score of 3 or close to 3 were the focus in our discussion, because there was clearly no consensus in the survey results on those topics. To see the survey results, please click here (PDF file). This file is located in the Members Only area, so you will need your user information.

CampGoodtimes1

Come to Camp Goodtimes this year on Wednesday, June 22. Plan to spend the day on Vashon Island. Bellevue Rotary members will once again put on a rip roaring, way cool, action packed carnival garnished at the end with lots of whipped cream. Sign up anytime with Charlotte Ellis, or check out the table flyers in late May/early June. Spouses and teens can help too.

Help us out!
